Ernst Krebs KG was founded in 1882, just as industrial manufacturing for cutlery and flatware got underway in Solingen. Initially, the firm focused on selling steel for scissors and knives, but gradually STAHL KREBS oriented itself on the needs of the steel processing industry in the Bergisch tri-city area.

Our clientele is now international, and we have an extensive product range in stock, with approx. 8,000 tonnes of stainless steel as well as high-grade, structural and tool steels. Our speciality is martensitic stainless steel grades, which we stock as long and flat steel products in a wide range of dimensions. Today, our key customer industries include the cutlery industry, manufacturers of surgical instruments, tool manufacturers and die forging plants in the automotive sector.

As a modern service provider, we offer innovative warehousing, prefabrication and logistics services, as well as material and application advice.
